Explanatory notes

QHP Listing – Only firms and their CONQUAS projects (private residential) completed in the last 6 years are banded

CONQUAS – CONQUAS assesses the quality of building projects at the point of inspection. The assessment is based on a sampling of units in a project, covering both internal and external finishes, and functional tests (e.g. window and toilets/bathrooms watertightness tests). Latent defects that may appear after handover or during the defects liability period cannot be accounted for at the point of CONQUAS assessment, as such defects cannot be foreseen. However, BCA reserves the right to moderate the CONQUAS® score where valid feedback on major defects is received from homeowners after the project has obtained Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP).

CONQUAS Band – It reflects a project's CONQUAS performance (which is determined by BCA's CONQUAS assessment and consideration of validated feedback from homeowners), or a firm’s CONQUAS track records based on its CONQUAS project performance/s over the past 6 years. The performance is represented on a banding scale, with Band 1 being the best (very low incidence of major defects) and Band 6 being unsatisfactory (very high incidence of major defects). Based on past records, projects with Band 1 had very low incidence of major defects. "Under Assessment" is defined as projects that have taken up CONQUAS assessments and the assessment are ongoing. "Not banded" is defined as projects that do not take up CONQUAS assessments by BCA or had withdrawn from CONQUAS i.e. quality performance unknown.
